ACTING TIP:
Acing your audition is all about making a great first impression! Did you know the human brain makes over 27 judgments about another person in the first few moments of meeting them? These split-second judgments are based on your posture, body language, voice, tone, breathing rate, eye contact, and much more. Casting Directors will begin making their decision during the first few seconds of meeting you; therefore, whether you are walking into an audition or connecting via Zoom, it is important that you appear as confident as possible. Make your first impression great by showing that you are calm, well-prepared, and present. To accomplish this, you should know your lines and your character’s motivations, stand tall with your shoulders back, make direct eye contact, smile from within, and speak clearly. Let your training take over from there, and show them what you’ve got!
SKINCARE TIP:
Don't Stress! Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive, trigger acne breakouts, and cause other skin problems. To encourage healthy skin (and a healthy state of mind) you must be sure to manage your stress. Get plenty of sleep, exercise daily, set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list, and always find time to do the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect.
